


Welcome to the Mercer Sanitary District 1 Web Site.......... The Mercer Sanitary Dist. #1 was established in 1964 in the Town of Mercer, Iron County, Wisconsin. A major expansion occurred in 1994-1995 and now the district serves approximately 375 residences, businesses, churches and industries. Located in the “Loon Capital of the World”, the Mercer Sanitary Dist. #1 uses a state of the art Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR) to treat the wastewater. The district currently has 2 wells and 1 elevated water tower that welcomes visitors to the town on Hwy. 51. |
